Happy Halloween

So originally this year I was going to be Borat for Halloween. But my costume that came in the mail (it was a wig and mustache set), first looked absolutely nothing like Borat, and second there was no mustache included.

What a total waste of money.

So I decided to just dress up in my classic costume as a shark. I am very glad I have never gotten rid of this costume. Who knows. I may just wear until the day I die.

After all I spent 60$ on it. Now that I have used it for three Halloweens it’s about only 20$ a year. Not too bad now!

Anyways I am off to grab a BITE to eat. Hahah I’m so funny.

Be safe everyone. Have a good night out trick or treating and partying.

Keep Smiling,

The King is Back

It has been a while since I gamed. I used to be hardcore, playing every day, but then I got too burned out. I played so much I really was not interested in video games that much anymore.

But then the new call of duty came out and I got roped in all over again. I really love call of duty by the way. It brings me back to high school. Getting out of class and going home and playing death match with my friends. We had some really good times back then.

Every time I go in a death match it almost takes me back to those days.

I messaged my friend John trying to encourage him to get the game. Our senior year of high school we both would dominate cod modern warfare two games. It’s actually how the two of is really became friends. That’s the biggest reason why cod is special to me. I really did make a good life long friend over that game.

Now I just have to get him into this new one.

On top of that my skill has been returning. Yesterday I had my first truly savage game where I went 42 and 3.

Yes 42 kills, 3 deaths. I was the team lol. It felt good. Very good.

And additionally I streamed it too! As well as a blackout squads win. So yesterday was a good day.

I’ll end with that.

Can’t wait to see you guys in the stream soon, find me at twitch.tv/NolanTV

After The Burial

Yesterday I had the fortune of meeting and seeing After The Burial, a really fantastic metal band.

My brother Alex got me into them a couple years ago when they had released a new song called “Lost in the Static.” That song ripped and instantly drew me into the band.

Funnily enough at that time I was seeing this woman who used to be very Protestant and had used to listen to super cheesy Christian rock.

Her and I met on a train and we just really hit it off. In fact she was so in to me, she wanted to listen to all my favorite music so she could really get to know me. I know, pretty hot right?

So I made this playlist for her where I originally tries to list my top 40 songs. Then it was my top 100. Then my top 200. Now it’s close to 800 songs and I have just given up trying to narrow it down.

The very first song on my playlist is “American Love” by Haste the Day. It’s a hardcore song that rips (double-bass, breakdowns, screaming, etc.) but it has this melodic bridge about 2 minutes in. The girl really loved that part (so much it made her cry, it’s a beautiful song by the way I encourage you to listen to it) and while she originally hates the screaming parts soon because she had the song on repeat waiting for the melodic part she suddenly found herself head banging to the hardcore parts.

And then it happened.

She got addicted to metal. Haste the Day took her hardcore virginity but After The Burial came next to really show her s good time.

I got a text that read. “Nolan. What’s happening to me. What did you do to me.” After she listened to “Lost in the Static” she was hooked on the metal. And she didn’t know what to do.

For years she had listened to slow Christian Rock Ballads and had dated a very Christian man and she became very Protestant to be with him. Now she was older and no longer in that relationship, she found herself suddenly listening to some of the hardest death metal out there.

I told this to the band when I met them last night. The bass player Adrian laughed. He said “Wow! That’s a small transition.” The guys loves it though. Spreading their rareform album across the continent and metal across the land.

Godspeed After The Burial. Godspeed. I can’t wait for the new album, I am more than excited to hear it.

And you know I will be at the concert, you guys put on a fantastic show.

Heck, maybe she will be there too!

Keep Smiling and Rock On,
