Every day I wake up, eat breakfast, rush to get a ton of things done, and eat lunch all before 1:30. Because at that time I start my first four hour twitch stream. Then at 5:30 I have a short time window of 2.5 hours (which is actually shorter because closing/setup takes time) where I can eat dinner or watch some television with Dan & Marie or something else. Once 8:00 hits then I start my second four hour stream until 12:00, or sometimes even later if the show is going well and I am having a great time, like I did tonight. Then I try to get to bed as quickly as possible but that often doesn’t even happen until 1:00 AM or later. In tonight’s case I am still up (in bed writing this right now) but I will soon be asleep.
Basically there are not enough hours in the day for me to do all the things I would like to do. Life is just so busy right now. But, I’m not complaining about this. I am having a blast streaming and I am enjoying every minute of it; especially this month which has been sublime. Again, telling you all that I don’t have enough time in the day is not a complaint of mine, it is a fact. It is just simply how it is these days. Busy Busy Busy. But I will say that I am getting much better at handling my time wisely. I have started spending much less time dilly-dallying and I have become more efficient with how I group tasks that I need to do. Now I just need work on being on time to my shows. I keep showing up a few minutes late everyday because my time management is still sub-par.
Don’t worry gang, I am getting better and I will be on time soon. Hopefully tomorrow. And the next day. And the next one. STREAKS.
You never know who is watching your stream. That is rule one. That person that comes in your channel might leave right away, or they might become your biggest supporter. Today I had an experience like this. Out of nowhere a follower named welder_batch came in with a tier 2 subscription to my channel. Those happen very rarely so I was very excited. But then he didn’t stop. He then proceeded to tip 25$. And then he said “sorry that was chump change” and tipped another 75$. And then he tipped another 123$ to become the top tipper of the channel. And then he tipped another 50$ to seal his place.
All out of nowhere. He happened to be browsing twitch channels and he saw mine and decided to check it out. I am thankful he did and it absolutely made my day. And not only because of him. Multiple people in my channel came in huge with tips, subscriptions, and more. Rayuresti, newly modded (congratulations!) came win with an epic tier 3 subscription (fblurkStangasm in the chat please) and Mordler911 came in with 2500 bits as well. PuffyNinja and DiscoDuckz also tipped as well. On top of that we won 3/4 games today and all of which we came back from being in the hole.
Today was one of those unreal days on stream. Great games, great people, great stream. I live for these days. They are the magic of twitch. Shout out to everyone who was part of it. Thank you so much. I will see you all later tonight in a little under two hours at 8:00 PM Pacific.

Last year, February 2017, Tony got a call from Justin. He had just gotten hired for his new job which would be his first 9 to 5. He wanted to go snowboarding one more time before he was doomed to a regular work schedule. Tony looked at me and asked me if I wanted to go as well. I had never been snowboarding before, so I leapt at the opportunity.
Snowboarding that day was without a doubt one of the most fun experiences of my life and immediately afterwards I was thinking about buying my own setup. Over the summer I picked up a board and bindings from my pal Spencer as he had just bought a brand new setup. While I had a board now, I was still far from ready to go snowboarding as I needed a helmet, goggles, jacket, pants, and boots.
This last month of streaming has been wonderful to me. So many new subscribers and followers have come into my channel and for the first time ever in my streaming career I actually made some money. I decided to treat myself chat. I bought the rest of my snowboard setup this week and it feels amazing. To finally make money from the work I love doing the most is a sublime feeling.
Thanks for all the support chat. I’ll make sure to do an IRL stream or two today. Right now Tony, Justin, and I have been on the road for about an hour. We should be on the mountain in about an hour and a half.
I love road trips with friends. If I could I’d spend every day doing this. Good company is what makes life worth living!
Time to shred the gnarrrrrr and hit that fresh pow!

About a week ago I started doing regular morning streams chiefly so I would get out of bed. And it has worked! Prior to these I would sleep in for hours and just lay in my bed. Now I wake up every morning at 8:00. And now that I have done this for a week my body has adjusted. I even wake up on my own now without my alarm. And the results have been tremendous! Not only have the streams been fun and a great addition to my stream, but I feel better now that I am not oversleeping, and I am eating better now that I am again eating breakfast everyday.
Having a regular sleep schedule and eating breakfast are very important to health. I know at times it can be challenging to wake up and at its easy to sleep through breakfast (especially for Video Gamers & Streamers as they often are night owls) but it is imperative to get your life organized.
Morning streams have been a great way for me to kill two birds with one stone. Not only am I growing my channel my putting in more hours streaming and meeting new viewers, I am also living a much healthier lifestyle. If you are a streamer reading this I encourage you to think about waking up earlier. For a long time I let streaming mess with my health but now I have gotten it order. I know what it’s like where you love streaming and you just keep at it because you don’t want to stop. But I also know what it’s like where you are starving all the time because you don’t eat before you get hungry, you eat after you get terribly hungry. I also know what it’s like to completely mess up your sleep schedule because you keep streaming into the ungodly hours of the night and then you you don’t wake up until the afternoon. Shit sometimes you not only miss breakfast, you miss lunch as well. Trust me, it’s not the healthiest way to live.
Additionally it complicates your social life. Everyone else more or less has a normal 9-5 schedule, and even if as a streamer you don’t need to have one, it is best for you to accommodate yours to match that so that you can still meet up with friends and other people. The loneliness of streaming can be another blog post. But it all goes together, keep your health and social life in order. And start with the easy stuff. Wake up in the mornings regularly and eat breakfast.
